C.A.S.P.E.R Membership
C.A.S.P.E.R (Children’s After School Program for Education and Recreation) is a school – aged child care program in which the Boys & Girls Club is licensed by the Office of Child Care Services. It is designed to provide child care every day from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for children in Kindergarten through the age of 12 while parents are working or .attending school. Drop-In Membership
Membership fee is $25.00 for the program year. Drop-In Membership begins in September and expires in May. Children ages 6 12 are welcome at the Club between the hours of 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Children ages 13 - 18 are welcome at the Club between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Please note, supervision is provided inside the Club only, members should stay within the supervised program areas. Membership is required in order to participate in any of the Clubs programs. Membership cards are required upon entering the Club. Please refer to the "09 Handbook "below for additional information. Summer Fun Club
Summer Fun Club is available to all youth between the ages of 6 and 12 and is offered in one-week sessions during the sunmmer. Program hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. An early drop-off period between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. as well as a late pick up period from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. is also available for an additional fee. Arrangements must be made in advance. All children must be picked up by 5:30 p.m daily.
Our summer program offers sports, arts & crafts, nature programs, swim lessons, roller skating, and special field trips. Daily lunches and an afternoon snack are included as part of the program, as well as a camp shirt for all enrollees. Sign ups begin in early May.

A comprehensive homework help and tutoring program, POWER HOUR is designed to raise the academic proficiency of Club members ages 6 to12.
HEALTH & LIFESKILLS
These initiatives help youth achieve and maintain healthy, active lifestyles.
A comprehensive homework help and tutoring program, An outgrowth of the popular and effective SMART Moves program, SMART Girls is a health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program for girls ages 8 to17.
Designed for ages 6 to 15, the program aims to incorporate healthy living and active learning in every part of the Club experience, Healthy Habits, which is also the "Mind" component of Triple Play: A Game for the Mind, Body and Soul, emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving overall well-being. Funded by Kraft Foods Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company.
The SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) prevention/education program addresses problems such as drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity.proficiency of Club members ages 6 to12.
Passport to Manhood promotes and teaches responsibility while reinforcing positive behavior in male Club members ages 11 to14.
Character & Leadership
Helping youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage.
This small-group leadership development program, sponsored by Staples, is targeted to youth ages 11 to 13. Within some 1300 Torch Clubs across the country, members elect officers and plan and implement their own activities and community service projects.
Sponsored by the Reader's Digest Foundation, the National Youth of the Year Program is designed to promote and recognize service to Club and community, academic performance and contributions to family and spiritual life. The National Youth of the Year receives a $15,000 scholarship, totaling $26,000 in scholarships, and is installed by the President of the United States.
Keystone Clubs are chartered small group leadership development clubs for young people ages 14 to 18. Keystoners elect officers, choose their own activities and plan and implement community service projects. A national charter entitles a Keystone Club to participate in regional and national Keystone conferences. This teen leadership program is funded by the Taco Bell Foundation.

Senecal Teen Center
The Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee offers a license child care program at Anna E. Barry School located at 44 Connell Street. The C.A.S.P.E.R (Children’s After School Program for Education and Recreation) is a school – aged child care program in which the Boys & Girls Club is licensed by the Office of Child Care Services. It is designed to provide child care every day from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for children in Kindergarten through the age of 12 while parents are working or attending school. Children that attend the following schools are elibible for this program: Barry, Lambert Lavoie, Belcher, and Litwin. The Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee offers a Drop In Membership Program for teens at the Senecal Teen Center. The Teen Center is the Senecal Housing Apartments Community Building located at 664 Meadow Street. The program is designed to provide homework help and recreation activities from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday for teens ages 13 to 18 year of age.
